Our partners from West Maui Mountains Watershed Partnership are collaborating with Olowalu Cultural Reserve on a project to create a living fuelbreak with native plants. HWMO provided $5,000 to clear invasive, fire-prone weeds along the break and thus create space for new native plants. The first portion of the project is complete. Now it's time for you to get involved!
WMMWP and Olowalu Cultural Reserve are seeking volunteers for planting this Saturday, June 10th, June 18th and June 25th.
