Earth Month Beach Cleanup - Paniau

  • Puako Beach - Paniau 69-1566 Puako Beach Dr Waimea, HI, 96743 United States (map)

Keeping our shorelines clear of debris can not only protect our precious coral reefs, but also prevent wildfires. Cigarette butts are a common ignition source (and sometimes even shattered glass bottles can spark a wildfire!) Wildfires also harm our coral reefs due to post-fire runoff and erosion.

Keep Puako Beautiful, Puako Dive Company, and Lat 20 will be hosting a beach cleanup on Saturday, April 9th at Paniau in Puako Beach.

Hike, land, and cleanup shoreline along the Ala Kahakai Historic Trail from Paniau to Holoholokai Park. You will also have the opportunity to dive, snorkel, kayak, or swim
